Recent professional gatherings have been impacted by ongoing harassment challenges. We, the undersigned corporations, are committed to creating safe, respectful, and inclusive environments. Understanding the critical need to address and prevent all forms of harassment and misconduct, we pledge to implement strict measures to protect the dignity and well-being of everyone involved in our operations and events.

Our Commitments:

1. Zero Tolerance Policy:

We will uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of harassment and misconduct, including but not limited to sexual, verbal, physical, and online harassment, bullying, and discrimination. These behaviors will prompt immediate investigation and appropriate action.

2. Awareness and Education:

To cultivate an environment of respect and understanding, we commit to regular awareness programs and activities for all employees at every level of our organization, focusing on harassment and misconduct prevention, resolution, and bystander guidance. 

3. Clear Reporting Mechanisms:

We will establish and communicate accessible, confidential, and non-retaliatory reporting mechanisms for victims and witnesses of harassment and misconduct. These mechanisms will ensure that all complaints are treated with seriousness, empathy, and confidentiality.

4. Prompt and Fair Investigation Process:

We pledge to promptly and thoroughly investigate all reported incidents of harassment and misconduct, ensuring a fair and unbiased process for all parties involved. The investigation process will be transparent to the extent that privacy laws allow.

5. Event Safety Measures:

We will implement stringent safety measures for corporate events, including conferences, seminars, and social gatherings. These include, but are not limited to,  clear conduct guidelines for attendees and on-site reporting and support services.

a. Employee Conduct at Professional Events:

  • We expect all employees representing our corporation at professional events to adhere to the highest professional conduct and respect standards. This includes but is not limited to, abstaining from any form of harassment, discrimination, or behavior that could be perceived as offensive or disrespectful. Employees are ambassadors of our corporate values and must embody the principles of inclusivity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.

b. Safeguards Expected from Event Organizers:

  • We will actively collaborate with professional event organizers to ensure comprehensive safeguards against harassment are in place. These safeguards include:

i. Clear Anti-Harassment Policies: Event organizers must communicate clear, strict anti-harassment policies to all participants before the event, outlining unacceptable behaviors and the consequences of such actions.

ii. Reporting and Response Mechanisms: Effective and accessible mechanisms for reporting incidents of harassment during events must be established, ensuring confidentiality and protection for victims. We expect a commitment from organizers to address and resolve reported incidents promptly.

iii. Accountability and Collaboration with Event Organizers: We will hold ourselves and the organizers of professional events accountable for maintaining the safety and dignity of all participants. This includes regular dialogues with event organizers to share best practices, learn from past incidents, and improve safety measures. Our participation in events will be contingent upon the adherence of organizers to these expectations, reflecting our commitment to fostering safe and respectful professional communities.

c. Partnership and Vendor Standards:

  • Our commitment extends to our external partnerships and vendor relationships. We will require all partners, vendors, and event participants to adhere to our standards against harassment, promoting a unified approach to safe environments.

6. Regular Review and Improvement:

We pledge to regularly review and update our policies and procedures to adapt to new challenges and to improve our efforts to maintain safe environments continuously.

7. Transparency and Accountability:

We commit to transparency regarding our efforts and progress in maintaining safe environments. We will publicly report the measures taken, challenges faced, and successes achieved, holding ourselves accountable to our employees, stakeholders, and the public.

8. Leadership and Culture:

Leadership at all levels will exemplify our commitment to a safe and respectful workplace, actively promoting a culture where harassment is not tolerated, diversity is valued, and inclusion is practiced.

In signing this pledge, we unite in a dedicated effort to eliminate harassment and misconduct. We acknowledge our moral duty to foster safe, inclusive, and respectful workplaces, essential for our success and sustainability. Guided by this pledge, we aim to set a precedent, motivating other organizations to follow suit in this vital mission. Our commitment transcends organizational limits, championing industry-wide standards for a universally safe, respectful, and inclusive professional environment.
